History
During
the 1940s Airglades Airport was known as Riddle Field. The No.5 British
Flying Training School was located here and it was also known as the
Riddle-McKay Aero College.
During the 1960s Airglades Airport was home to the South Florida Parachute and Skydiving School.
Today Airglades is the home of Air Adventures which has been situated here since about 1984.
Airglades Airport is growing! Hendry County is in the process of
industrializing the property for future
businesses.
